押解受審的部將，是具有司法神職能之神祇
城隍爺出巡時，會以大型神將，也就是閩南話的「大仙尪仔」造型作為開路先鋒
凡出巡賽會，必為行列中最前端，
能夠保護人們免受邪惡與災難的侵害

范無救范將軍，表示「犯」罪之人必然「無救」
矮身造型，因在橋下溺斃身亡，臉部缺氧泛黑，故為黑臉
身著黑色服飾，頭戴黑短帽，上書「天下太平」、「一見發財」
為主要辨識特徵手執鐵鍊與方牌，
方牌上繪有虎頭，
並書寫「善惡分明」，個性嫉惡如仇
